Cut short – have you discovered TinyURL.com yet?

A free website I make almost daily use of these days is TinyURL.com which allows you to shorten really long URLs.
Sometimes, if I send my mum and dad a photo link to my Picasa photo site, the URL is so long that it gets broken in the email.
Mum and dad reply to me saying the link doesn’t work … but it does, it’s just become split on the email.
TinyURL.com leaps to the rescue! You simply cut and paste the long URL into the browser window and it converts it into something tiny.
So a long URL like:
http://webcumbria.co.uk/content_section/index.php?option=com_frontpage&Itemid=1
… becomes a tiny URL like:
Simple … but brilliant!
